What is the full speed of the yacht in meters per second? ?

A Tollycraft 61 Motor Yacht travels at 23.7 knots at full speed. A knot is the same as a nautical mile per hour. A nautical mile is 1.852 kilometers. What is the full speed of the yacht in meters per second?

   its just simple dimensional analysis and conversion..

   the answer is 12.1923 m/s.. just use the conversion factors to get the answer.. all the factors are given in the problem so its a no-brainer.

   Learn to do conversions WITH UNITS. First, until you are omfortable, dont bother with numbers.
   NM/hr x kilometers/NM x meter/kilometers x hr/sec = meter/sec
   NOW ADD THE NUMBERS
   23.7 NM/hr x 1.852 km/NM x 1000 m/km x 1 hr/3600 sec.
